During my site visit I gained more knowledge on the various choices of treatments available for the conditions my classmates and I brought up. One of the cases that sticks with me, comes from my classmate who had a case involving prophylaxis treatment for a dog bite. During this case we discussed, which animals are more likely to carry rabies and when to give rabies vaccine prophylaxis when needed. I also learned about the two cases of patients who survived rabies. My classmates and I had interesting articles to discuss and we clearly broke apart the possible limitations of the articles. I also learned a lot from the pharmacology cards that I prepared. Once my H&Ps are graded and my evaluation comes back, I plan to use the feedback to improve on my future notes and presentations. I aim to keep learning and expanding my knowledge as I continue in my career.
